A banner created for MotoSpec Australia for a Manufacturing & Trade Expo 2011 Having done mainly vehicle exterior work, the Motospecs banner was a fun and refreshing change as we were given the opportunity to work with mechanical parts. The chassis had to be created to highlight components represented by Motorspec without the availability of CAD data. In creating this structure, we had to obtain 3D models of the suspension, drive train, steering, engine, air filter and radiator from various vehicles while producing the other components in house to piece together the assembly. The end result was the production of 3 meter wide print featured at the Manufacturing Expo in Melbourne in 2011.
JOSS SP1 Supercar stills & video for the Melbourne Motorshow Australia 2011 & Top Gear Magazine
The Joss SP1 supercar was both an interesting and challenging project that called for an atypical solution. For this project, we needed to produce an animation feature for the Melbourne Motor Show and a number of stills for Top Gear Magazine in just under a week. Shortly after drafting the storyboard, we soon found ourselves in constraint with render time, Autodesk Showcase became the only feasible option to create the required “shots”. This allowed us to churn out thousands of frames in a couple of hours, ready for the post work.
Developed an iPhone app-simulator to control a real time configurator for the AutoHorizons FR1. Interesting little project which required a some coding and lots of hardware and software testing to sync the iphone controller and an interactive Autodesk Showcase configurator. Having it run on an iphone wirelessly controlling the Showcase model was a thrill.
A small project to outline the workings of a braking system.
